TikTok has removed more than 28.19 million videos in Pakistan for violating its community guidelines, according to the platform’s latest transparency report for the third quarter (July–September) of the 2025–26 fiscal year.
The report states that TikTok took extensive measures during the quarter to detect and eliminate content that breached its policies, aiming to provide a safer and more secure environment for users.
Of the 28.19 million videos removed in Pakistan, 99.8 per cent were identified through automated detection systems, while 95.9 per cent were taken down within 24 hours of being uploaded.
TikTok said that its automated technologies handle the majority of content moderation, while human review teams intervene in cases requiring judgement, including appeals, expert assessments and rapidly evolving situations.
Globally, TikTok removed around 204 million videos during the same period, accounting for approximately 0.7 per cent of all content uploaded worldwide. Of these, about 186.6 million videos were flagged by automated systems, while nearly 8.95 million videos were reinstated following review.
The platform reported a pre-deletion rate of 99.3 per cent, with 94.8 per cent of violating content removed within 24 hours.
In addition to video removals, TikTok also deleted 118.62 million fake accounts globally and removed 22.23 million accounts suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13, as part of efforts to maintain platform integrity.
According to the report, around 30 per cent of the removed videos contained sensitive or mature content, 15.7 per cent violated safety and decency standards, and 2.7 per cent breached privacy and security policies.
