Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader and veteran politician Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, who has long been unwell, has been appointed as the head of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation — a development that has triggered a wave of humorous comments on social media.
At a meeting held at Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s residence in Lahore, Federation President Muhammad Tariq Hassan and Secretary Sohail Anwar announced his appointment as chairman.
On the occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat congratulated Tariq Hassan and Sohail Anwar on Pakistan’s historic achievement of winning five gold medals for the first time at the Asian Bodybuilding Championship.
He stated that national athletes are true heroes and that their encouragement and support are the need of the hour.
Tariq Hassan praised the former prime minister’s services, expressing confidence that his leadership would help promote bodybuilding and resolve athletes’ financial issues.

General Secretary Sohail Anwar also hoped that Chaudhry Shujaat’s appointment would mark the beginning of a new era for bodybuilding in Pakistan.
The news immediately went viral on social media, drawing a flood of humorous reactions.
Why the humorous comments?
The remarks stem from the fact that Chaudhry Shujaat has been seriously ill for a long time, is of advanced age, and remains under constant medical care.
Many online users are questioning how someone in such a condition can effectively oversee the bodybuilding sector.
