A notification circulating rapidly on social media under the name of the Sindh Government’s Finance Department claims that women who have not received the HPV vaccine will be denied payments under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The viral notification instructs all BISP directors to immediately suspend payments to women beneficiaries who have not been vaccinated, collect new data only from vaccinated women, and reopen accounts of those whose vaccination is confirmed.
It further directs immediate compliance and submission of implementation reports.
However, BISP has categorically rejected the notification, calling it fake and aimed at undermining the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign designed to protect young girls from cancer.

BISP officials clarified that the programme operates at the federal level, and no provincial government or department has the authority to suspend or withhold payments to its beneficiaries.

The BISP spokesperson stated that such misleading and harmful activities are unacceptable and strongly condemned.
The public has been urged not to believe false or fabricated notifications and to rely only on information issued through official channels.
