Gold prices once again surged in Pakistan on Saturday, following a decline on Friday, while the prices of the yellow metal also increased in the global market.
As per data shared by the All Pakistan Sarafa Jems and Jewelers Association (APSJJA), the price of per tola gold of 24 karat increased by Rs 1700 to Rs 390,300 while the price of 10grams 24 karat gold increased by Rs 1458 to Rs 334619.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22 karat gold surged by Rs 1337 to Rs 306745. In the global market, the price of the yellow metal increased by $ 17 to $ 3685 per ounce.
Rates of silver also surged both in the local and international markets. In Pakistan, the price of per tola of 24 karat silver hiked by Rs 114 to Rs 453,2, and the price of 10 grams of 24 karat silver surged by Rs 98 to Rs 3858. In the international market, the price of silver witnessed a surge of $1.14 per ounce to $43.05, the association data stated.
