RAWALPINDI: A sub-inspector in Rawalpindi has been transferred on the complaint of a political figure for disobeying his demands.
According to details, the sub-inspector – posted at Jatli Police Station Rawalpindi – was transferred on the complaint of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader (PTI) and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Sajid. A video has surfaced in this regard.
The conflict started when a boy registered a case – 178/20 – in Jatli police station regarding his missing sister. During the investigation, the police revealed the girl had got married to a boy from Lahore of her own choice.
On the other hand, the man, through PP-9 member Chaudhry Sajid, pressured the police officials and demanded that the girl should be handed to him over for a few hours after being recovered.
Sources informed that the investigating sub-inspector of the case, Chaudhry Mazhar Sajjad, in view of the fear that the girl would be murdered, without informing the plaintiffs, brought the girl from Lahore and produced her directly before the Gujjar Khan Duty Magistrate.
MPA Chaudhry Sajid expressed his displeasure over not obeying his orders, and with the help of higher authorities of Police Department transferred the investigating sub-inspector as punishment.
