KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers-Sindh on Saturday announced a province-wide awareness campaign against coronavirus outbreak.
According to the Rangers spokesman, that the rangers will initiate a province-wide awareness drive against coronavirus outbreak and will also assist the provincial government in buying items deemed necessary services till a virtual lockdown like situation exists due to pandemic.
Ranger’s personnel along mobiles have been deployed at different parts of the province to raise awareness; the rangers will also distribute masks, hand sanitizers and soaps to the citizens.
The paramilitary soldiers have urged the citizens to adopt appropriate safety measures against the coronavirus and to take it seriously till the threat sinks.
Earlier, the Sindh government in an attempt to raise awareness about preventative and prevention against the diseases has decided to introduce online classes to teach the citizens how to defend themselves and their loved ones during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has ordered the army to fast-track operations to support the civil administration as the country struggles with a fast-spreading coronavirus outbreak in the country.
He said “The government’s efforts will only be successful if the citizens take safety measures themselves. It is the duty of every Pakistani to listen to the precautionary measures put out by the government and the health department,” he said.
He added that no danger can shake the resolve of a responsible and determined nation, pointing to China as an example.
