WhatsApp introduces smart prompts for easier chatting with Meta AI

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that introduces default suggestions to help users kickstart conversations with Meta AI, making it easier and more intuitive to interact with the chatbot.

As reported by WABetaInfo, the feature is currently available to select beta testers in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.25.20.13), accessible via the Google Play Store.

These built-in conversation starters are curated by Meta to guide users—especially those unsure of how to begin—by offering clear prompts to initiate a chat. The suggestions are designed to evolve over time, ensuring that content remains fresh and relevant.

Organized into thematic categories, the prompts address a wide range of user interests. For instance, some focus on everyday life, encouraging users to share details about their day or personal experiences—creating a more human-like and relatable interaction.

Others are geared towards staying informed, with quick prompts that help users explore trending news and current events through engaging conversations with Meta AI.

To keep things light and entertaining, WhatsApp has also added a fun section filled with interactive games and quizzes. These include classics like “20 Questions,” personality tests, and even humorous challenges designed to make the experience more enjoyable.

Another important category centers on emotional well-being, offering prompts that encourage users to talk about their feelings, set goals, or navigate life changes—highlighting Meta AI’s potential role as a digital companion and support tool.

Importantly, these default prompts are optional. Users remain free to ignore them and instead type their own questions or messages into the chat box, allowing for completely open-ended interactions with Meta AI.
