The first group of pilgrims from Iran has arrived in Madinah for Hajj.
According to Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, an Iranian airline flight carrying a 121-member team — including medical and service staff — has landed in Madinah to support Hajj operations.
The ministry stated that Iranian pilgrims will spend seven days in Madinah, adding that more than 30,000 pilgrims from Iran are expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia this year.
According to Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, around 30,000 Iranian pilgrims are expected to participate in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, with departures beginning next week. The organization has confirmed that the pilgrimage dispatch is being carried out with the approval of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
Iranian pilgrims, who will remain in Saudi Arabia for more than a month, are expected to spend six nights and seven days of their stay in the city of Medina.
