PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has claimed that Bushra Bibi has been shifted to a hospital.
In a message posted on X, Barrister Gohar said that they were informed last night that Bushra Bibi had been moved to a hospital, and demanded details regarding her health condition and medical treatment.
He also requested that Bushra Bibi be allowed to meet her family, adding that they are also awaiting permission for the family members of the party founder to meet him, stating that this is a fundamental right of every individual.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shafi Jan, said in a statement that reports regarding Bushra Bibi’s health are extremely concerning, and criticized the Punjab government for its alleged negligence and silence over her health and hospital transfer.
Shafi Jan further said that the Punjab government has consistently shown negligence regarding the health of both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, adding that depriving Bushra Bibi of basic medical facilities is a serious violation of the constitution and human rights.
He said Bushra Bibi is a non-political woman and that any politically motivated treatment by the Punjab government is unacceptable.
He added that previous attempts by federal and Punjab governments to weaken Imran Khan have failed and will continue to fail, calling such efforts an “unfulfilled dream” of the “unelected” governments.
