A sessions court in Rawalpindi has handed down the death penalty to the accused, namely Abdulla,h for the murder of a man in May 2024 in Chaklala, allegedly over an “honor” dispute.
Judge Afshan Ijaz Sofi delivered the sentence following a trial in which strong evidence and effective case prosecution were presented by the police. According to officials, Abdullah had opened fire on the victim, resulting in his death.
The court also imposed a fine of PKR 10 million on the convict.

Police sources confirmed that the verdict reflected the court’s acknowledgment of the solid evidence and diligent investigation carried out during the proceedings.
