Significant fluctuations were observed in the Pakistani markets today, February 7, 2026, as both gold prices and international currency exchange rates showed marked increases.
The All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported a massive spike in gold prices, driven by a $117 increase in the international gold rate, which now stands at $4,967.
The domestic rates have responded with sharp hikes
Gold 24Kt (per Tola): Rs. 519,462 (up by Rs. 11,700).
Gold 24Kt (per 10gm): Rs. 445,354 (up by Rs. 10,030).
Gold 22Kt (per 10gm): Rs. 408,256 (up by Rs. 9,195).
Silver prices also trended upward, with the Silver Tola (24Kt) now priced at Rs. 8,269, reflecting an increase of Rs. 444
The simultaneous rise in gold and the strengthening of foreign currencies against the Rupee are expected to impact local commodity prices and inflation.
