Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a historic surge as of Thursday, February 5, 2026, building on a massive “blood-run” rally that has seen the precious metal shatter previous records.
Following a staggering single-day increase on Wednesday, the price of 24-carat gold per tola has reached an unprecedented Rs529,162.
This local spike directly mirrors a volatile global market where gold has breached the psychological barrier of $5,000 per ounce.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10 grams of 24-carat gold is now trading at Rs453,671, marking a sharp rise of Rs12,689 from the previous session’s close.
The momentum began earlier in the week when prices rebounded from a brief period of profit-taking.
On Tuesday, gold had already climbed by Rs24,000 per tola to reach Rs514,362, but Wednesday’s additional Rs14,800 hike solidified the upward trend.
International spot gold surged by $148 to settle at $5,064 per ounce, a price that includes a $20 premium. Analysts attribute this aggressive “bull run” to a combination of weakening global currencies, heightened geopolitical uncertainty, and a surge in central bank reserves, which has pushed investors toward safe-haven assets.
Silver has not been left behind in this precious metals rally. In the domestic market, silver prices edged higher by Rs109, bringing the cost per tola to Rs9,255.
On the international front, silver rose by $1.09 to reach $87.80 per ounce.
