A major fire tore through the upper levels of a residential high-rise in the Bronx early Saturday morning, triggering a massive emergency response as flames engulfed the top two floors of the 17-story building.

According to the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), the four-alarm blaze broke out shortly after midnight.

The fire quickly escalated, spreading through multiple apartments on the building’s highest floors.

More than 200 firefighters and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene to battle the flames.

While the FDNY has worked through the night to contain the fire, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Authorities have yet to confirm any injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident.

Videos circulating on social media showed a dramatic scene, with bright orange flames venting out of windows on the building’s crown against the night sky. Fire crews utilized high-reach ladders to douse the upper floors while residents were evacuated from the lower levels.

Just past midnight, a gas smell in apartment 15A turned into a full-blown explosion on the 16th floor of Boston Secor Houses. Within seconds, flames ripped through the upper floors.
