A devastating fire in the basement of a hotel in Gulberg has claimed two lives and left five others injured.
The blaze broke out while a private college event was underway, leading to a massive rescue operation to evacuate 180 people from the building.
Authorities confirmed that two persons have died as a result of the incident. Five injured individuals; one remains in critical condition with severe burns and is currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.

Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman Akhtar and Deputy Commissioner Captain (r) Ali Ijaz, who were on-site to oversee relief efforts, confirmed that all 180 people inside the building were safely evacuated.
