Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar tied the knot with Shanzeh Ali Rohale in Lahore.
The Barat ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends from both families, along with a number of political workers associated with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and other political parties.
This is second marriage of Junaid Safdar.
Shanzeh Ali Rohale, the granddaughter of Nawaz Sharif’s longtime ally and former MNA Sheikh Rohale Asghar.
In a recent interview, former Member of National Assembly Sheikh Rohale Asghar revealed that Junaid’s second marriage had been arranged with his granddaughter Shanzeh.
Asghar explained that Shanzeh and Maryam Nawaz’s younger daughter Mahnur are best friends, often visiting each other’s homes, which eventually led to Junaid’s interest in Shanzeh.
He added that Maryam Nawaz and her family visited his home, followed by their visit to finalize the relationship.
It is to be noted that Junaid Safdar confirmed his divorce with his previous spouse in October 2023 through an Instagram post.
