Google has rolled out a completely redesigned Settings page for Google Maps on Android, addressing long-standing concern of Android users who believed the page was overwhelming and messy.
According to 9to5Google, a new design for Google Maps settings has been rolled out to a limited group of users.
The redesigned layout is clearer and now features seven main categories: Apps & Display, Navigation, Your Vehicles, Location & Privacy, Offline Maps, Notifications, and About & Terms.
A notable improvement is the addition of a Sign Out button, which was previously buried at the bottom of the settings menu, making it cumbersome for users to log out.
Google has also updated the navigation style within the settings page. Previously, a back arrow in the top-left corner returned users to the main menu. It has now been replaced with an X mark in the top-right corner, allowing the settings page to be closed more quickly.
Some settings options have been reorganized for better clarity, while most other options remain the same as before.
