Ayesha, the former wife of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ghazi Khan, Sadiq Hussain Baloch, has released a distressing video in which she directly appeals to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for help.
In the video, she can be seen holding her one-year-old son in her arms, breaking down in tears while alleging that DPO Sadiq Hussain Baloch has been issuing death threats against her and her child, including threats of killing them with a knife.
The nearly three-minute-long video, shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by journalist Israr Rajput, features Ayesha stating that the message is specifically addressed to the Chief Minister of Punjab. She says, “You speak about the protection of women and say that all the daughters of Pakistan are your top priority.”
Ayesha claims that both her life and that of her one-year-old son are in serious danger. She alleges that the DPO has attempted to kill her and her child and, during the video, plays what she says is an audio message in which the DPO can allegedly be heard threatening to slit their throats with a knife.
She further alleges that the DPO has unlawfully become an enemy to her and her child’s lives. Ayesha states that if any harm comes to her or her son, full responsibility should lie with DPO Sadiq Hussain Baloch.

She adds that she is not a mother who would harm her child, but warns that if no help is provided, she may be driven to take her own life along with her son.
“This is not a family dispute; this is a criminal matter,” she says, adding that those who label her a blackmailer should see what her child is being subjected to before their very eyes.
Meanwhile, no statement has been issued by DPO Sadiq Hussain Baloch or the Punjab Police. There has also been no response from the office of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif so far, although it is expected that the matter may be taken up at a higher level.
