In Peshawar, orphaned and underprivileged girls from Zmong Kor, a government-run welfare institution for orphaned children, were invited as special guests by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi.
A special luncheon was organised in their honour at the Chief Minister’s House. Upon their arrival, CM Afridi personally gave the girls a tour of the premises, took selfies with them, and interacted with them in a warm and friendly manner.
The chief minister also distributed gifts among the girls. The orphaned residents of Zmong Kor spent memorable moments at the Chief Minister’s House and expressed their gratitude to the chief minister for the invitation.
While speaking to the girls, CM Afridi said, “You are the true owners of Zmong Kor, and we are your servants. Until you complete your education and stand on your own feet, the government of Imran Khan will take full care of you.”
On the occasion, the chief minister also announced the establishment of a complaint cell to directly hear and address the issues and concerns of the girls.
