Spotify users experienced connection issues on Monday, with many reporting difficulties accessing music and podcasts through the app.
The company confirmed the problem on X (formerly Twitter), stating: “We are working on repairing the issue at the earliest convenience.”
Earlier in the day, users flooded social media with messages saying “Spotify isn’t working” as they sought clarification about the outage.
The official Spotify Status account acknowledged the technical issues, assuring users that efforts are underway to restore full functionality as soon as possible.
This marks Spotify’s third major service disruption this year. Similar issues were reported in April and June 2025, causing users to face recurring problems.
Spotify serves as a key platform for music and podcasts for hundreds of millions of users worldwide. Such large-scale outages have disrupted users’ daily routines, affecting activities like exercising, commuting, and working, during which they typically listen to music.
