The Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has said that a major breakthrough has been achieved in the murder case of Dr Warda in Abbottabad, with the killer being killed in a police encounter.
The KP police chief stated that the prime suspect in the Dr Warda murder case, identified as Shamrez, was killed during a police operation.
He added that the main accused had been on the run, but police teams worked day and night to track him down. Other suspects nominated in the case have already been arrested.
Dr. Warda had left the hospital a few days ago with a close friend, carrying 67 tolas of gold entrusted to her.
A wave of grief and anxiety spread across the region after the body of Dr. Warda Mushtaq, who went missing from the DHQ Hospital in Abbottabad, a major tourist city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was recovered from the forests of Lari Banota, Thandiani.
