Water supply to various areas of will be suspended for 12 hours today (Thursday) due to maintenance work at the Dhabeji sub-station and grid station.
According to the Water Corporation spokesperson, due to annual maintenance work at the Dhabeji sub-station and grid station, the supply will decrease by 100 million gallons.
Water supply will be partially affected in Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal, DHA, Chanesar Town, Jinnah Town, North Nazimabad, and Gulberg Town.
K-Electric’s work will continue from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Last month, repair work on major pipelines and pumping stations has further disrupted the city’s water supply. Maintenance is in progress on the 11K line at the North East Pumping Station, where a 48-inch main pipeline has developed a leak.
As a result, three pumps that supply water to Karachi have been shut down. In addition, one pump at the Dhabeji Pumping Station is currently offline for repairs.
