Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with the Kingdom of Bahrain, inviting Bahraini investors to explore opportunities in food security, IT, minerals and healthcare.
The Prime Minister, currently on a two-day official visit to Bahrain, met King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in Manama, where both sides reaffirmed the strong and historic ties between the two countries.
Discussing economic relations, the Prime Minister expressed a desire to enhance trade and investment, noting that the Pakistan–GCC Free Trade Agreement will accelerate bilateral trade.

He invited Bahraini investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), particularly in the sectors of food security, IT, construction, mining, tourism, and health.
The Prime Minister thanked Bahrain for its support of the more than 150,000 Pakistanis residing in the kingdom, and also expressed gratitude to the King for pardoning Pakistani prisoners.
Both countries agreed to uphold the importance of their longstanding defence partnership and to expand cooperation in training, logistics, manpower, and defence production.
