Indian media has confirmed that Bollywood’s legendary actor Dharmendra has passed away at the age of 89; however, his daughter Esha Deol denied this in a social media message.
According to a report by India Today, the actor’s team confirmed his death on the morning of Tuesday, 11 November. Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai the previous day, where he was on a ventilator.
Indian media says that Dharmendra was also hospitalized last week due to difficulty in breathing, and earlier this year in April, he underwent eye surgery.
Dharmendra’s death was also confirmed by well-known Indian journalist and anchor Rajdeep Sardesai. In addition, Javed Akhtar expressed his grief over Dharmendra’s death.
Esha Deol claimed that the Indian media is spreading false news and that her father’s condition is better and she requested that the family’s privacy be respected and prayers be offered for her father’s full recovery.
