On Tuesday morning, major Indian media outlets — India Today, ABP News, News18, and Hindustan Times — reported the death of legendary actor Dharmendra, which was denied by his daughter Esha Deol and his wife Hema Malini, who slammed the Indian media for spreading false death news.
According to details, Indian media reports claimed on Tuesday that the actor’s team had confirmed his death on the morning of Tuesday, November 11.
Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he was on a ventilator, and now he has passed away at the age of 89, according to Indian media.
Renowned journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and actor-writer Javed Akhtar also expressed grief. Later, his daughter Esha Deol shared a post on Instagram denying the news, and now actor-wife Hema Malini’s tweet has also surfaced.
In her tweet, Hema Malini expressed outrage and wrote, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about someone who is undergoing treatment and is recovering?”
What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.
