The Punjab Interior Department has reportedly recommended imposing a ban on the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), declaring it a group involved in violent activities.
According to details, a report citing sources claimed that the Punjab Interior Department has requested a ban on the religious and political party TLP. The department has also sent an official letter to the federal government in this regard.
Sources within the Punjab Interior Department stated that the extremist group TLP is involved in violent actions. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had directed the department to recommend a ban on the group.
It is noteworthy that Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan recently called for a nationwide protest, which was rejected by traders and religious scholars, leading to the failure of the planned demonstrations.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Labbaik chief Hafiz Saad Rizvi remains missing. Reports earlier claimed that he had been injured by gunfire and was in critical condition, but these reports have not yet been confirmed.
