Punjab information minister Azma Bukhari, confirming the Punjab cabinet’s approval of a ban on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), said that 202 police officers were injured during the violent protests.
According to details, Punjab information minister Azma Bukhari said during a news conference: “Has the Gaza issue been solved by attacks on the police? Today the religious party again called for protest. The ulema and traders rejected the protest.”
Speaking during the news conference, the Punjab information minister said that the government has not taken action against any religious party or creed. The PECA Act will be enforced for arson, sieges and incitement on social media. If anyone has illegal weapons, they should be surrendered within one month.
