The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has decided to establish a new e-employment center in Lahore by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hunarmand Punjab.
This initiative aims to provide the youth of the province with modern digital skills and freelancing opportunities so that they can earn online income in the domestic and global markets.
The agreement was signed between PITB’s Director General e-Governance Sajid Latif and Hunarmand Punjab CEO Muhammad Imran, while PITB’s Director Skills Development Ahmed Islam, Hunarmand Punjab’s COO Engineer Waqar Rafique, and CTO Engineer Umair Iftikhar also attended the signing ceremony.
The e-employment 2 Point Zero program is a new phase of PITB’s well-known project, under which thousands of youth have been provided independent employment opportunities by training them in digital freelancing so far.
In this new phase, the scope of training programs will be further expanded in collaboration with public and private educational and technical institutions so that more and more youth can benefit from it.
According to PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, through e-Rozgar 2 Point Zero, the youth of Punjab are being provided with practical tools to succeed in the digital economy.
He said that this project will become a means of connecting traditional skills with modern online employment, and this partnership with Hunarmand Punjab will lead the youth on the path of self-reliance and economic stability.
