The hike affects all three PS5 models, with the disc version now priced at $549.99, the Digital Edition at $499.99, and the high-performance PS5 Pro climbing to $749.99, making it the priciest mainstream gaming console available today.
The impact is being felt locally as well, with shopkeepers confirming that PS5 prices in Pakistan have risen by Rs10,000 to Rs20,000 depending on the model.
The brand new PS5 Pro 2TB is now retailing for as much as Rs260,000 in major cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the PS5 Slim 1TB model is being sold for around Rs180,000, reflecting how the global hike is shaping local market dynamics.
Despite the hefty price tags, the PS5 remains in demand in Pakistan. While it is not a household item for every family, those who can afford it, often buying it for themselves or for their children, continue to drive its popularity.
