In the third and decisive One Day International played in Trinidad, West Indies defeated Pakistan by a massive margin of 202 runs to win the three-match series 2–1. This was West Indies’ first ODI series win against Pakistan in 34 years.
Pakistan won the toss and invited the hosts to bat first, where West Indies scored 294 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Captain Shai Hope played a brilliant innings of 120 runs, while Justin Greaves remained unbeaten on 43.
In the final overs, Hope and Greaves added 110 runs in just 8.1 overs, taking the total close to 300. Hope remained not out on 120, which included 10 fours and 5 sixes. This was his 18th ODI century, placing him third on the list of most centuries for West Indies, behind Brian Lara and Chris Gayle.
Greaves also batted superbly, scoring an unbeaten 43 off just 24 balls. Evin Lewis contributed 37 runs, while Roston Chase scored 36. For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed took two wickets each, while Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub claimed one wicket apiece.
Chasing the target, Pakistan’s batting lineup completely collapsed, with the entire team dismissed for just 92 runs. Five Pakistani batsmen — Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Ali, and Abrar Ahmed — were out without scoring a run.
Salman Ali Agha was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Mohammad Nawaz scored 23 and Babar Azam could only manage nine. West Indies pacer Jayden Seales played a key role in the victory, dismantling Pakistan’s top order and taking six wickets for just 18 runs.
