Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted that India used “battle-tested” Israeli weapons in a recent conflict with Pakistan, according to Indian media.
It’s widely acknowledged that Indian military used Isreali drone HARPY and Barak missiles, jointly developed with Tel Aviv, in the aerial skirmishes in which Pakistan has used advanced Chinese military technology.
On May 7, Pakistan declared a victory over India, claiming that Chinese J-10C aircrafts shot down six Indian fighter jets, including three French Rafales, and the army targeted several Indian military installations.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has acknowledged that India deployed “battle-tested” Israeli weapons during a recent conflict with Pakistan, noting that all the systems performed effectively, according to Indian media reports this week.
Speaking to Indian journalists in Jerusalem on Thursday, Netanyahu said that the military hardware provided by Israel to India had been used successfully during “Operation Sindoor” against Pakistan. The Telegraph, an Indian publication, reported that he emphasized the growing strength of defense relations between New Delhi and Tel Aviv.
“Israel supplied military equipment to India before Operation Sindoor. All of it worked well. The equipment used was battle proven,” Netanyahu was quoted as saying.
He further remarked, “We do not develop these systems in laboratories alone, but in the battlefield. They are battle-tested. Our defense cooperation with India is robust and built on a strong foundation.”
