Pakistani businessman Salman Iftikhar, the husband of former model Abeer Iftikhar, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison by a UK court for hurling vile abuse at a flight attendant and threatening to rape her.
According to Daily Mail, accompanied by his wife Erum Salman and their three children, Salman, 37, was under the influence of alcohol during the Virgin Atlantic flight from London to Lahore, when he had a meltdown after being told to behave himself.
The incident occurred in February 2023; however, Iftikhar was arrested at his residence in England a year later, in March 2024.
Following a police investigation, Salman Iftikhar pleaded guilty in court. A London court sentenced him to 15 months in prison on charges of issuing death threats and harassment.
The victim, Angie Walsh, who had served in the airline industry for 37 years, suffered severe psychological trauma due to the incident and remained on leave for nearly 14 months.
She described the ordeal as the most terrifying experience of her entire career, stating that it had deeply impacted both her personal life and professional confidence.
It is noteworthy that Salman Iftikhar had been living a luxurious lifestyle. His company generated approximately £90 million in business in 2022, but later encountered financial difficulties, leaving him with millions of pounds in taxes and debts.
Despite his financial troubles, he continued to drive expensive cars, reside in a lavish home, and attend extravagant events.
Salman Iftikhar resides in a £2 million luxury home in the UK with his first wife and children.
Five years ago, he married Pakistani model Abeer Iftikhar as his second wife, after which she withdrew from the modeling industry.
