Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated that his sons, Kasim and Suleman, will visit Pakistan to see him, but they will not engage in any political activities or protest movements.
The former Prime Minister confirmed that he spoke with his son Kasim and Suleman via telephone on Saturday.
While addressing reporters from Adiala Jail, the former PM remarked, “I had a one-and-a-half-hour telephone conversation with my sons. They will come to Pakistan to meet me, but they will not participate in any political activities or movements.”
“The contact has been established after a considerable period. It was pleasant to converse with them,” he added.
He also confirmed, “My newspapers have been restored now,” indicating an improvement in his situation while in prison.
The former premier’s clarification followed intense speculation in political circles and online that Khan’s sons were preparing to travel to Pakistan to spearhead a new wave of protests demanding their father’s release.
Some even referred to their anticipated arrival as “the second wave of the PTI revolution.”
