ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to take their case to the Supreme Court after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) declared the arrest of their party Chairman Imran Khan as to be legal.

The decision was made during an emergency meeting chaired by senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi in response to the situation that has emerged after the arrest of the former Prime Minister.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the measures that could be taken to cope with the situation, and it was decided that the party would continue a peaceful protest until Imran Khan is released. PTI members will also be present at the Supreme Court in the federal capital today (Wednesday) where Imran Khan is expected to be presented.
Earlier in the day, Imran Khan was arrested outside the Islamabad High Court in connection with a NAB (National Accountability Bureau) reference. The former Prime Minister was taken into custody in the Al-Qadir Trust case, where he had gone to seek bail in multiple FIRs registered against him.
Following Imran Khan’s arrest, his supporters took to the streets and staged protest demonstrations on the call of the party leadership. The PTI supporters and activists blocked several roads in major cities across the country.
