ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad district administration on Monday requested extension in the deployment of Rangers in the federal capital for another six months.
As per details, the city administration requested the interior ministry for an additional 300 Ranger personnel as a Quick Response Force (QRF).
The decision to extend the Rangers deployment was made for the strict security in Islamabad. The district administration made a written request to interior ministry for the extension.
It is pertinent to note that 2523 Rangers personnel are already posted in Islamabad.

Earlier, Islamabad police said that it was “fully equipped” to provide end-to-end “fool-proof and world-class” to the New Zealand cricket team during their upcoming visit to Pakistan.
