ISLAMABAD: At least 1,021 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while 21 more civilians have died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,260,669 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 28,173 civilians lost their lives to the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 43,578 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 199,977,075. Nationwide, the virus test result was 2.34 percent.
The condition of 2,257 coronavirus patients across the country is critical. In Punjab, 436,720 people were infected with the virus while 12,800 died. In Sindh, 463,703 coronavirus cases and 7,505 deaths were reported. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,76,194 people were affected by a coronavirus and 5,657 died. In Balochistan, 33,092 cases and 350 deaths were reported. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,359 people were infected with the virus and 186 died.
In Azad Kashmir, 34,360 people were affected by coronavirus while 740 lost their lives. In Islamabad, the virus-infected 1,06,241 people and killed 935. The number of active cases of Corona across the country has risen to 41,071.
In the last 24 hours, 1,683 coronavirus patients across the country have succumbed to the virus, bringing the number of healthy people to 1,191,425. The death rate in the last one day was 2.2 percent.
