Yem Al Shawarma

Yem Al Shawarma, situated at Khadda Market DHA, has been serving the yummiest pita bread treat since 20 years now. The owner of the place used to sell shawarma in Dubai so the idea of this place is to sell authentic shawarmas.

Cooked in olive oil, the joint has a variety of sauces and Turkish spices. The interesting part of this joint is its name, “Yem” which means ‘House’ so Yem Al Shawarma is basically ‘the house of Shawarma’.

Arabs are fond of shawarma, the taste of shawarma is different and quote spicy as compared to the countries in Arab because Pakistanis prefer more spicy shawarma. Interestingly the place sells shawarma with ‘mutabbal’, an offwhite sauce served with hummus.

Monty’s Shawarma

Situated at Sindhi Muslim, the place offers six types of shawarma i.e. classy shawarma which includes all spices, olives, and veggies; branen shawarma which includes chicken, onion, mushroom, and other sauces; Sulemani shawarma is served with without veggies and zinger shawarma is a typed of crispy chicken dipped in sauces served with peta bread.

Its owner tells us how the demand for shawarma has increased by the passage of time. Six years ago, people were not a huge shawarma fan but now they are increasingly fond of it.
