ISLAMABAD: The Opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC) ran into an unpleasant situation with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman complaining that his speech was not airing his speech live.
“The government stops our voice from reaching the public and this time the APC also prevented our speech from airing live,” Maulana said while addressing the multi-party conference.
“The APC had live-streamed speeches of other party leaders but his speech in the All Parties Conference was not broadcasted live,” he said, adding, “I wish to record a protest with the PPP. This is highly unreasonable.”
In this regard, Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that it was at the request of one of your MPAs that we kept an in-camera session. “We will have a press conference after this,” Bilawal added.
Fazl, however, would not have it and said, “This was not in-camera.” PPP’s Sherry Rehman said that the party was told that the JUI-F had requested an in-camera address. In this regard, Maulana said, “We did not request such a thing.”
Opposition parties come together today (Sunday) to devise a strategy to oust the government which they say has failed in all sectors.
