RAWALPINDI: The National Health Services Ministry has reportedly considering replacing heads of two major hospitals in Islamabad, PIMS, and Polyclinic Hospital, due to alleged mismanagement.
According to details, Dr. Ansar Masood, Head of PIMS Hospital, and Dr. Naila Israr, Head of Polyclinic Hospital reportedly failed to deliver as per the government requirements, while administrative matters have been declared the worst during their tenures.
Relevant sources have informed that the Health Ministry has decided to reappoint former executive director of the Polyclinic Hospital Dr. Shahid Hanif. Former PM’s Special Assistant for Health Servies Dr. Zafar Mirza had replaced Dr. Shahid Hanif with Dr. Naila Israr as the Executive Director of Polyclinic Hospital.
On the other hand, Raja Amjad, former executive director of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), was sacked on corruption charges.
Later, the Health Ministry appointed Dr. Ansar Masood as the Executive Director. However, sources have now informed that Ansar Masood has also failed to deliver while his subordinates were involved in corruption and illegal recruitments.
However, the Federal Health Ministry has not forward any name to replace Dr. Ansar Masood from the post of PIMS Executive Director.
