KARACHI: Several government employees have staged a protest across Sindh due to non-payment of the salaries amid the upcoming occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
Local government employees across Sindh went on strike in protest of non-payment of salaries in July. Protests were also staged in Karachi, Larkana, Dadu, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Nowshero.
Moreover, employees of DMC in Karachi, led by Malik Nawaz, General Secretary, Municipal Workers Trade Unions Alliance, staged a protest at Allahwali Chowrangi Road, Tariq Road, and demanded salaries on immediate basis.

On this occasion, All Pakistan Local Government Workers’ Federation (APLGWF) Syed Zulfiqar Shah said that local government employees of Sindh province would not perform emergency duty on Eid-ul-Azha due to non-payment of salaries.
It should be noted that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha if the employees of the carcass management will go on a strike, there will be filth everywhere in Karachi due to the waste of sacrificial animals not being removed in the city.
