LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has been summoned by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Sialkot cantonment housing scandal.
Khawaja Asif has been instructed to appear in person. PML-N leaders have also appeared before the NAB on 3rd July. According to reports, the record given by Asif and the answers to the questions were unsatisfactory.
It may be recalled that Khawaja Asif’s wife, son, and former mayor of Sialkot have also appeared before the NAB in this case. The NAB alleges that they illegally sold 137 kanals of land with the connivance of the management of Sialkot Cantt Housing Society and illegally obtained approval from the Revenue Authority of the society by misusing its powers.
He has been accused by the NAB of illegally selling 137 kanals of land with the connivance of the society management. Khawaja Asif has also been accused of occupying the lands of citizens who have never sold their lands.

The NAB has said that society has illegally occupied the land. Former Minister Khawaja Asif has illegally used his powers. The PML-N leader has also been accused of seeking several approvals from the revenue authority of the illegal society.
