BAJAUR: At least three civilians were martyred while seven sustained injuries in cross-border firing from Afghanistan in Bajaur Agency.
According to details, the attack carried out from the Afghan side of the border martyred three Pakistanis and injured seven others including two security forces personnel. The injured and dead bodies have been shifted to nearby hospitals.
According to initial reports, two soldiers were also injured in the cross-border firing. The injured have been shifted to a nearby center for medical treatment and arrangements are being made to hand over the bodies of the martyrs to their heirs.

Earlier, firing from the Afghan border into the tribal areas has resulted in heavy loss of life and property. Pakistani army posts have also been targeted by the Afghan border.
In October 2019, 11 people, including 6Pakistani soldiers, were injured in cross-border firing from Afghanistan. “Afghan security forces used mortar shells and heavy machine guns,” the ISPR stated.
Last year, security personnel were attacked from the Afghan border while on duty on the Pak-Afghan border, killing six young men.
