KARACHI: Sindh Ministers have stated that they feel a ‘clean chit’ will be given to PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Addressing a press conference today (Sunday) along with Nasir Shah, Provincial minister Saeed Ghani said, “NAB has taken up the case to give a clean chit to Haleem Adil.”
The Minister further said that he has no confidence that the anti-corruption watchdog will take action against any PTI leader. “The sugar commission report has come but the bureau is still sleeping,” he added.
“The accountability bureau hasn’t taken any action against Khusro Bakhtiyar despite having a lot of evidence against him,” he remarked.
The provincial minister stated that for the past three days, he was saying that the PTI leaders had been in contact with Uzair Baloch and on the next day in a TV programme Ali Zaidi took a U-turn and said that he had no idea whether the PTI leadership had contacted Baloch or not.
He also claimed that Aman committee leaders had taken part and gave speeches in PTI public gatherings. He added that the meetings with the Aman committee leaders were attended by President Arif Alvi, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Ali Zaidi.
Meanwhile, information minister Nasir Shah said, “Action should be taken against anyone, including Haleem Adil Sheikh, who carried out illegal construction on state land.”
