KARACHI: Sindh health officials have reported 1736 new COVID-19 cases and 22 deaths during the last 24 hours.
In his daily coronavirus update in the province, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said in the past 24 hours, 9318 people were tested for COVID-19 out of which 1736 tested positive.
“Sindh has tested 533540 people out of which 99362 tested coronaviruses positive,” the Murad Ali Shah added.
While talking about the deaths, the CM Murad said Sindh’s death toll has reached 1637 after 22 more people died from the COVID-19. He said 655 patients are in critical condition while 75 are on ventilators.
Today, 1697 patients have recovered and have gone to their homes, the CM said. “Sindh has seen 56373 patients recovered from the novel virus,” he added.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 237,849 in Pakistan, while the death toll stands at 4,922.
According to the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), more than 2,980 cases of coronavirus were reported while 83 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours.
As many as 140,965 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases.

Moreover, the smart-lockdown imposed across Sindh was extended till 15th July, following its Punjab and Balochistan counterparts as the number of coronavirus cases shoot up in the country.
