ISLAMABAD: Directorate of Municipal Authority’s (DMA) Deputy Director has stopped operation against the illegal encroachments in Islamabad by allegedly taking bribe.
According to details, the Directorate of Municipal Authority took stern action against illegal encroachments at the G10 center, hindering the movement of the general public.
The DMA removed all counters and equipment from the sidewalks. During the operation 31 Sheds, 19 Fix Counters, 2 Fruit stalls, and 2 Hollow cabins were demolished with the help of a Wheel Dozer.
On the other hand, Hamid Ranjha, the deputy director of DMA, took a huge amount of bribe from the occupied mafia and stopped the operation against the illegal encroachments.
Relevant sources informed that Deputy Director Hamid Ranjha threatened the staff removing the encroachments and ordered them to return all the encroachments to its owners.
Earlier in June, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and district administration carried out a fake operation against the illegal societies in Ghauri Town area of Islamabad.
According to details, officers of CDA and district administration along with a heavy contingent of police raided Ghauri Town in order to demolish illegal structures.
However, the CDA and the district administration, in a very clever manner, joined hands with the owners of the societies and only attached seal notices on the closed office of the property.
