KARACHI: Police today (Thursday) have arrested the suspects for throwing acid on two persons over a money dispute in New Karachi’s Bilal Colony area.
According to details, the district police have also registered the case against the accused, named Ibad and Imran. Sources informed that the victims were being pressurized to reconcile.
However, on the immediate orders of higher authorities, the district police arrested the accused and registered a case while further investigation into the incident is underway.
It is worth mentioning here that two men, identified as Kamran and Amir suffered severe burns due to acid attack by a shopkeeper in the New Karachi area of the metropolis.
According to details, The victims had gone to settle a mere money dispute of Rs 15,000 with a shopkeeper named Abbas, who then threw acid on the two individuals after engaging in a quarrel with them.
The victims alleged that the district police coercing them of suppressing the issue and not to pursue any legal action. Both Kamran and Amir have suffered severe injuries and have been blinded in one eye.
