ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has assured that the government will take all possible steps to resolve the financial problems of the journalists.
Addressing a ceremony today (Sunday) in Islamabad, the Information Minister reiterated that the PTI-led federal government firmly believes in freedom of expression.
Senator Shibli Faraz also appreciated the media’s role in creating awareness among the nation to observe precautionary measures in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 4,100 people across the country.
The federal minister also said that the journalist community has played an important role in the development of the country, adding that helping journalists is the top-most priority of PTI-led federal government.
Shibli Faraz further assured the journalists’ community that the government will provide all possible facilities for the up-gradation of press clubs and for this purpose more funds will be allocated in the coming years. On the occasion, the Information Minister also distributed cheques’ among deserving media workers and press clubs.
