RAWALPINDI: Two soldiers embraced martyrdom while two others sustained injures when suspected terrorists opened fire at the convoy of security forces in North and South Waziristan district.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack took place 5 kilometre southeast of Ghariom near North and South Waziristan District boundary. “A terrorist was also killed in retaliation,” ISPR added.
ISPR further said, “In exchange of fire Captain Sabih & Sepoy Naveed embraced martyrdom. Later during sanitization, a terrorist’s compound was cleared.”
Earlier in April, terrorists attacked a Pakistan Armed Forces check post, 10 kilometers West of Miranshah, North Waziristan, ISPR reported.
The military’s media wing said that the security troops deployed at the sight effectively engaged the terrorists killing five. During the exchange of fire, one soldier embraced martyrdom; while three others were injured.
