ISLAMABAD: Around 12,400 violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs) were reported in 24 hours across the country.
It was informed during a meeting of the National Command and Operations Centre held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar.
Around 1,512 markets, shops were sealed and 14 industrial units were fined and sealed while 1,466 transporters across the country were fined.
At least 364 violations of SOPs were reported in Islamabad in 24 hours, as a result of which 154 shops were sealed and 147 vehicles were fined.
Similarly, in the last 24 hours, 5336 violations of SOPs were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 257 markets, shops were sealed while 104 transporters were fined.
In Balochistan, 1075 violations of SOPs were reported and 104 violations of SOPs were reported. Markets and shops were sealed.
In the last 24 hours, 3,682 violations of SOPs were reported in Punjab, as a result of which 655 markets, shops, industrial units across Punjab were sealed and 801 vehicles were fined for violating SOPs in 24 hours.
There were 860 violations of SOPs in Sindh, for which 41 markets, shops were sealed and 7 vehicles were fined. Moreover, around 153 markets, shops, and 321 vehicles were fined for violation of SOPs in Azad Kashmir while 48 markets and shops and 53 transporters were also fined in Gilgit-Baltistan.
