KARACHI: Officials of the Karachi Development Authority’s (KDA) land department have allegedly sold the land of cemetery land in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to details, the Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment has registered a case against the KDA officials. However, the anti-corruption body in its registered case has named a person who isn’t associate with Land Management Department nor has any involvement in the case.
The anti-corruption body has arrested the person named, Zahid Siddiqui, and declared him as an official of KDA. In this regard, Zahid Siddiqui informed that the anti-corruption has not conducted any inquiry nor has it ever called us for investigation.
According to sources, a case has also been registered against a nominated accused, Director Land Syed Arshad Abbas.
The six accused include Ata Abbas, the current director of finance, Sohail Khan, IT director, Nadeem Ahmed Siddiqui, former additional director of land, Meraj, assistant director of land, Raza, and Arshad Abbas.
