RAWALPINDI: Public and Private hospitals in Rawalpindi are allegedly increasing the numbers of coronavirus patients after which a serious situation has arisen for the citizens.
According to sources, patients suffering from other diseases are forced by the hospitals’ administration to declare themselves as COVID-19 patients.
Sources revealed that today (Tuesday), a resident of the Saham area of Rawalpindi who suffered a stroke was rushed to a private hospital, where the administration demanded that he would be admitted as a coronavirus patient.
Sources further revealed that the patient’s family immediately rushed him to a government hospital, but the same demands were raised there. Meanwhile, the patient died in this situation.
The relatives of the patients have said, “We did not expect such a reaction from the medical staff of the public and private hospitals,” adding that the administration was treating patients in a bizarre way.
The relatives have appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to take stern action against the hospitals’ management.
